The Hungaria Palace is located in the center of Lido of Venice, only 15 minutes by boat from St. Mark's Square. The building which hosts the hotel was built in 1905 and the lovely neo-renaissance facade was further embellished in 1914 by a polychrome majolica covering. The inside is furnished with items designed by the famous cabinet maker, Eugenio Quarti, who in those years headed the most refined Italian Art Nouveau furniture. The Hotel has 82 rooms, all bright and elegant and offering different possibilities: single, double, with three beds, junior suites and suites. All rooms have direct outside line, internet access, air conditioning, satellite TV and minibar. The first three floors are entirely furnished with original Art Nouveau items; the fourth floor has been completely renewed in 2002 and offers a breathtaking view over the Venice Lagoon and Lido. The hotel is a beautiful example of Art Nouveau style with a wide terrace, bar and restaurant facilities, a private park and free parking space. Staffs are available to clients to organize excursions and guided tours of Venice. The Golf Lido facility with its 18-hole golf course and a riding track can be easily reached from the hotel; reserved space on the beach is available from June till September. Set in a lounge with early century frescoes and decorations, the bar serves cocktails and snacks; while the refined "Quarti" restaurant offers a high quality cuisine for dinners and receptions. The buffet breakfast is served in the Winter Garden, a bright veranda facing the park. There is a well equipped meeting room, with a capacity of 60 people. The hotel can be easily reached by car after 25 minutes of ferry boat from the Tronchetto Terminal through the Giudecca Canal and the S. Marco Basin: a truly enchanting itinerary of high emotional impact for those visiting Venice for the first time. There is a direct public transportation line which connects the Marco Polo airport to the Lido, or even private taxis; two public boat lines which depart from the Santa Lucia Station and run down the Grand Canal or the Giudecca Canal will take you to the Lido.
